Gen & Elijah’s Wedding
Today, we hosted Gen and Elijah’s springtime Wedding here at Tsunami in Mosman Park, Perth, Western Australia. The evening started out with their ceremony in the outdoor Ripple area. Which was decorated with paper lanterns and white petals. This really gave the room a romantic Japanese garden-feel to their ceremony.
The ceremony was finished off with bubbles and lots of laughter. After their ceremony in the ripple, there was a selection of canapés to go around as the couple went away to get their photos taken.
The good times continued to roll after the ceremony as their family and friends in an intimate reception area welcomed the couple. The main reception area was elegant, yet welcoming. The bridal couple paired the Japanese garden with beautiful Australian flowers in an array of purple and white. But because of the fairy lights and the added hanging flowers, they didn’t have to do much to decorate the reception for their wedding. It was almost effortless and really set the tone of the evening. It was a romantic Japanese garden in the springtime, right here in Perth.
The couple decided to go with a selection of gyoza, chicken yakitori, Wagyu kofta, tempura prawns and chicken karaage for their entrees. Mains on the other hand, were a choice between the fillet steak with a red wine reduction or the miso encrusted lamb French cutlets. Which can be a really hard choice to make. We had guests umming and ahh-ing when it came to making a choice. For desserts, they decided to go with the sticky date pudding and vanilla ice-cream. Which is the perfect way to round off a big celebration. At the end of it all, guests commented on the lovely atmosphere and delicious food.
Although the night was a little chilly for a spring night, we had the heaters going which helped keep things nice and warm. We hope to see you in the future for all your function and wedding reception needs here in Perth. We are a quirky, unique, and unconventional wedding venue in Perth’s Western Suburbs.
