Yamada Shoten - Quality sake from Gifu

Yamada Shoten is a sake brewery located in Gifu prefecture, Japan. The brewery has a long history, dating back to 1790, and is known for its high-quality sake.

In recent years, Yamada Shoten has won several awards for their sake. In 2020, their Junmai Daiginjo sake "Shinsei" won a gold medal at the "Sake Competition 2020" hosted by the National Research Institute of Brewing in Japan. This competition is considered one of the most prestigious sake competitions in Japan, and winning a gold medal is a significant achievement.

In addition to this award, Yamada Shoten has also won numerous other awards and accolades over the years for their sake, including multiple gold medals at the International Wine Challenge in London. These awards and recognition are a testament to the high quality and craftsmanship of their sake.

The place where "Kuramoto Yamada" is located is called "Tamai" by the old name, and this is the place name given from "Tama no Ido". The water drawn from the moat well is also used as the water for preparation. Since its founding in the first year of the Meiji era, we have been brewing sake in this area with the ideal of "a sake that is comfortable to drink, does not get tired of drinking, is sweet and spicy, and can be used for a long time regardless of its richness."
