Mai and Jake’s Wedding
Mai and Jake have made Tsunami their Japanese getaway for their spring wedding. There was a lot of preparation that went into their special evening. There were customised menus, table settings, and even a candy bar with the best sorts of candy, like pocky, green tea kit-kats, and a variety of Japanese candies. Because it was a cold night, we had the heaters going. It felt just like a winter wedding to be honest.
Mai and Jake came to us with a budget for their wedding. Their initial number was 140 people, which can get really costly. However, we were happy to work with their budget, which made it an affordable wedding function for such a large number of guests.
Mai and Jake were attracted to Tsunami’s unique wedding venue. The outdoor area makes the event a little more casual wedding venue. Others say we are unique venue for weddings and functions. Overall as long as our guests have a memorable evening we are happy to provide our services.
For dinner this evening, guests enjoyed a selection of tsunami rolls, beef tataki, Hokkaido scallops with Tuna tartare, gyoza, and kakuni (pork belly) with ginger salsa for their entrees.
For their main course, guests had a selection between grilled grass fed fillet steak or miso marinated Patagonian toothfish. A little bit of Western and a little bit of Japanese never hurt anyone. The evening was finished with cake and sticky date pudding with vanilla ice-cream. Some guests even opted to buy sake whilst dining with us. If you are interested we have an online store as well, please visit http://www.supersake.com.au/ for our selection.
Overall the bridal couple enjoyed their evening, it was filled with good company and good food, all in their celebration. We were very happy to be a part of Mai and Jake’s big day! Another reason to consider Tsunami for your next party, function, or wedding. Our venue is perfect for large weddings or even small weddings. We are in Mosman Park, which is close to Fremantle right here in Perth.
